Course Description & Philosophy
This course is designed to fulfil the need of an authentic outlet for the voice of the CCNTH student body. ASB & Leadership will provide an open, inclusive, positive, and safe High School experience for all CCNTH Students by d25esigning, implementing and evaluating a variety of activities, events and workshops. Through their actions they will lead by example.

Course Description & Philosophy
This course is designed to fulfil the need of an authentic outlet for the voice of the CCNTH student body. ASB & Leadership will provide an open, inclusive, positive, and safe High School experience for all CCNTH Students by d25esigning, implementing and evaluating a variety of activities, events and workshops. Through their actions they will lead by example.
Objectives
In this class, students will:
- Serve as the governing body through its Student Centeredness. They provide a voice for the social, emotional, developmental and cognitive needs of CCNTH students.
- Serve as the event planners and coordinators of cultural events at the school. They will develop, create and oversee the execution of events and activities, geared towards building a culture of celebration, unity, empowerment and acceptance at our school site.
- Serve as the liaison between the student body, and all other stakeholders in our school and community (staff, administration, boosters, school site council, parents, etc.)
- Develop their individual integrity, professionalism, collaboration and leadership by active exploration of project management development, implementation and execution.
- Create, maintain, and periodically reevaluate high expectations for themselves, their groups, and our school, by practicing time management, self monitoring, active engagement and reflection.

In this class, students will:
- Maintain positive and respectful communications through their diligent professionalism.
- Work collaboratively with the NHS & AG ASB to continue to build inter-school relations.
- Practice resolution by addressing issues in collaboration and communication in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in and progress monitor various committees as needed by the class and group.
- Work collaboratively with their peers to develop, produce and evaluate different aspects of the projects that the class is in working on.
- Use the SMART Goal format to set, enact and evaluate personal and group goals.
- Participate in all major ASB/Leadership functions and events.
- Maintain at least a 2.0 in all of their other classes. Grades will be checked during every grading period.
- Create and maintain a professional portfolio with a specific section for ASB/Leadership, following the guidelines listed below.
- Be a living representation of the pledge at our school site, leading their peers by example.
